Crackly, Crunching sort of way

November 13, 2010 at 3:20 pm (Uncategorized)

I must get the dishes done
and then go out
to walk beneath the sun,
and over leaves,
and under trees,
who laid the leaves
upon the ground,
which is not their usual place
they are usually in the space
between the branches
of the trees,
but with the cold,
and lack of light,
the leaves have now
been put to flight
and flown,
in regal slowness down
to lie in colour
on the ground
carpeting my way
as i walk.

as i walk
some of the leaves
talk,
in a crackly, crunching
sort of way,
as if to say,
“Please do not walk on me
it’s really quite
uncomfortable, you see;
your shoes are hard
the ground is rock
it really comes as quite a shock
to be trod on in such a way
on such a beautiful
sunny day.”

Sorry,

for no posts
i’ve felt like
slightly charred toast
lately.

Hope to be
in a better way
in the coming days.

Stay tuned for more.

Singing in the Rain

May 8, 2009 at 5:55 pm (Rain, Seasons, spring, Uncategorized) ()

It’s spring, so sing
in the key of flower.

Don’t be sour
if it rains, if it pours,
since rain is green power
helping plants from the ground
enabling them to appear all around us.

So say hurrah when it rains,
raise three cheers when it pours,
run outside,
stand in it
and sing
in the key of water trickling down a drainpipe.

Early spring

April 18, 2009 at 2:48 pm (Uncategorized)

Spring Sunshine tosses
winter cold aside
with ease
leaving sun warmth
and spring coolness
behind.
Early Spring.
